13. What is the difference between inside & outside mount?
An inside mount is when the blind, shade, or shutter fits inside of the window opening. Mounting as an inside mount generally has a cleaner, neater look. An outside mount can be used if there isn't enough depth to mount the product inside the opening. Sliding glass doors and wood cased shallow windows are popular outside mount choices.
14. What are the characteristics of the real wood blinds and shutters?
Any true wood product will have slight variations in color, grain, and texture, all of which add to the unique characteristics of natural wood. Even though we maintain rigid quality control standards, we can not guarantee exact color matches. These variations will be especially visible in blinds with light color stains; however, when dealing with natural wood products variations that occur are considered acceptable and add to the overall aesthetic of the window covering.

15. Is there any advantage to vinyl shutters?
Vinyl shutters will not fade, pit, crack, peel or warp like conventional wood shutters. They never require painting, staining or sanding. Scratches and dents cannot affect finish and color. You can place them in
bathrooms, sunrooms, kitchens, and saunas without worry of warped blades.

All of the necessary hardware, including installation brackets, is included with your blinds. Sometimes spacer blocks or shims may be needed. These items can be found at your local hardware store.
3. Do you supply install screws and fasteners?
Yes. However, there are many different types of mounting surfaces into which your products could be attached, such as concrete, wood, drywall, plaster, steel, etc. It's not feasible for manufacturers to include screws/fasteners that will work for all applications, but the ones included should work well for the most common window installation projects.
4. Are the installation instructions included?
All of the products are shipped with installation instructions. If you can't find the instructions in the box, click here for our Install page to download the instructions, or feel free to contact us.
5. How should I care for my wood blinds and shutters?
Like any piece of furniture, dust your blinds regularly. Use an ordinary soft, clean cloth, chemically-treated dust cloth, dusting mitt, vacuum cleaner with brush attachment or cylindrical dust brushes especially designed for blinds. The paint surface of the slats is smooth and dust is easily brushed off, when dusted during regular cleaning. Lower the blind to its full length, then tilt the slats almost fully closed and dust. Then do the reverse side of the slats in the same manner. In order to reach the dust where the slats overlap, it is best not to fully close the blind in either position.
6. How do I care for vinyl shutters?
With vinyl shutters, no special cleaning or care is necessary. Just wipe them off with ordinary soap and water. In fact, regular cleaning enhances the finish and gives them an "ever improving" appearance for years to come.
